House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski

Walled-in

It is probably cliché at his this point to call the book disturbing but the description fits. While there were chilling scenes in the narrative the true horror of the book comes from the portrayal of lostness and grinding despair.  I cannot really say that I enjoyed the book nor is it fair to say that I didn’t enjoy it.  Survived feels more accurate or even better endured.
